Who requires visa
There are a number of countries whose nationals may not enter Peru without having visa. These nations include Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Rep., Chad, China People's Rep., Comoros, and Congo. The nationals of Costa Rica, Cuba, Djibouti, Egypt, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, and Guatemala are also required to have visa prior to entry. The same may be said about the nationals of Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Honduras, India, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kirgizstan, Korea Democratic People's Rep., Kuwait, Lao People's Democratic Rep., Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mongolia, and Morocco. Visa is also required from people of Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Qatar, Rwanda , Sao Tome and Principe, Saudi Arabia, Senegal , Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Swaziland, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Timor Leste, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, UAE, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Western Sahara, Yemen, Zaire, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Nationals not belonging to these countries are not required visa to enter and stay in Peru.
Documents required
For people who must present visa before entering Peru, the documents required for application include a passport with at least six months validity, return or onward ticket, two colored passport-type photos, proof of financial solvency, and two fully-filled out application forms.
Issuance and validity
Peruvian visas usually takes up to 24 hours of processing before issuance, given that all required documents are submitted. It typically has a validity of up to 90 days or three months from the date of issuance.
