Peru Nightlife |
As most Spanish colonial country, the people of Peru are night owls. Parties are common in the key cities and bars are filled with locals, expats, and tourists almost every night. In Lima, there are streets lined with clubs and bars from which travelers and nocturnal people may choose.
Barranco bars
Lima is the capital city of Peru and the city of nightlife in the country. On Barranco there are a couple of bars which travelers may check out. There is BW Bar, which offers great reasonable prices on drinks, great food and for the comfort the spot extends to its guests. Another club in Barranco is Oita Nomas. It also serves inexpensive drinks and food as well as entertaining live music. For a different experience, travelers may try Cala, which a floating restaurant-bar on the water in Barranco. However, this joint is slightly costlier than typical restobars.
Miraflores
Another street in Lima which can satiate the need of party animals to have fun at night is Miraflores. Some of the bars lining this street are Bobos, which is a restobar that offers tasty dishes over good alcohol, and el Tayta, a drinking and dancing place with yet again delicious dishes served over cold drinks. Music is very appealing in both pubs, which brings in most of the patrons.
Stargazing
Apart from spending the evening in funky establishments, travelers to Peru may also try a different way to spend the late night hours. The country is known to have a populated sky at night. Thus, for a more quiet evening, another suggested night activity is camping under the stars. Under sleeping bags the starts and the numerous constellations which are clearly seen on the Peruvian may be watched and observed.
