For anyone who wishes to see Sri Lanka, the excellent time to be there is during its driest time, the months from December to March. For those not particularly interested in the ancient cities, the west and south coast and the Hill Country is the perfect place to be during this time. On the other hand, the ancient cities are best seen on the months of April to September.
