The Glossary
For a unique Boracay experience, try Pucca Beach past Station 1. To get there, you have to charter a boat. Boats from Kalibo or Caticlan are normally cheaper (P2,000-P3,000 per hour or more depending on negotiations) than boats in Boracay proper (P3,000-P5,000 per hour or more depending on negotiations).
If Boracay has powdery white sand, Pucca Beach has white pucca (teeth-like, pearly white) shells as sand. Bring a pair of thick-sole flip-flops as the shells may hurt on the feet. Pucca provides a good view of the neighboring Aklan islands. The best time to go there is on a sunset so the view will really be amazing.
You can swim in the shores as the water is clearer and more blue-green there than in Boracay. Take note though that the water is deeper (10 to 15 feet). You can also windsurf there or hire a hobbie cat and roam around the islands. A few people only get there, making you feel you're marooned in an island, or as if you own a piece of Boracay.
