The Philippines is a tropical country with only two main seasons. From the months of June to the early days of September is the rainy season, while from late February to May is summer. During this season visitors can experience the humidity that can drive them to the wonderful beaches surrounding the archipelago. Plus, this is the season of barrio fiestas (town feasts) and celebrations to watch out for like the Panagbenga (a season of blooming) flower festival in Baguio, Flores de Mayo (May flowers) and Santacrusan (a procession in honor of St. Helena of Constantinople), which are held in almost all parts of the country.
