The weather in Oman is comparable to other countries in the Arab Peninsula. There are four seasons but the major ones are summer and winter. Summer (mid April-October) is very hot and dry, with temperature rising up to more 50 degrees Celsius and humidity of up to 90 percent. Only in Dhofar is it cooler because of the Indian Ocean near it.
While summer is scorching hot, winter in Oman is really cold. The temperature can drop down to 15 degrees Celsius. Anyone unused to this kind of temperature may go home with colds.
