Laos nightlife is vibrant and thriving. it has bars, clubs, restaurants and other establishments ready for the night owls roaming its land. It roots from the notorious opium culture in the 1960s. It may have toned down phases from then but the country still boasts of places like the Vienglatry May, which features live band music and drink ‘til you drop spirits, and The Blue Star with its dimly lit seating areas perfect for couples making out. There are also cabarets like the Anuo Cabaret in Anuo hotel, where men are tagged and hostesses are sent to their tables upon entry. These places are favorites of the Lao people and expats. For travelers these are perfect spots for good drinks, good laugh, and good night.
