Walking along the coast of Kota Ambon, you would see a small village called Tanjung. The village is famous for its odd rock formations that appear like rings of rosette stones encircled by basalt stones that seem to be burnt. Nearby are workshops where women mold bricks while the males bake the bricks in a kiln. Brick-making is a cottage industry in this village. Fishing is the other form of livelihood here. You may ask your guide if he or she can arrange you a lunch with the villagers so you can taste their fresh skipjack tuna.
