Indonesia Good to know |
Indonesia is a very good country to visit because of its many historical sites and lively streets at night. However, a trip will be more memorable if the traveler is knowledgeable of some downsides of the trip.
One of the few things to look out for when coming to Indonesia is the money or funds. The currency in the country is Rupiah. When arriving with dollars in one's pockets, the best amount to exchange it is in hundreds. The exchange rate is higher in this denomination as compared to smaller amounts. This can help maximize a traveler's pocket money. Another warning for travelers, especially the ladies, is the Asian style toilets. This means the toilets are stuck on the floor. Any person wishing to answer nature's call would need to squat. Ladies better be prepared with this slightly weird endeavor. A third thing to remember when planning a trip to Indonesia is that the cities' water is not potable. What makes it worse is that bottled waters are expensive. Try to set aside ample budget for tour water so as not to be forced to drink unclean and unsafe water.
Although these downsides can not entirely ruin an Indonesian vacation, it can certainly decrease the fun. Thus, a prospective traveler should prepare for these encounters so as to maximize the opportunity to visit the beautiful country, Indonesia.
