Due to its long existence, Egypt has a very complex culture, made even more so by being combined with the cultures of its previous invaders. Somewhere in the middle of it all, there is a hint of Arab, Greek, Christian, and Islamic culture.
Its ancient culture may be described as literally rich, filled with discoveries of ways to make life more beautiful and comfortable. The Egyptians were the first to develop henna. The modern day, removable tattoo ink and hair color. They were also the ones who devised the controversial hieroglyphs. They had their own religion involving gods with heads of animals. More importantly, they were the first to use the concept of pyramids in architecture.
After the invasions, the country was able to maintain some of the upper-mentioned elements of culture. There were only a few things added, such as the list of religions became longer, Islam and Christianity becoming the new addition. There was also an addition in the system of writing and speaking. The way people are dressed was also slightly modified.
The areas of culture that were preserved were music, dances, traditional theatrical acts, and the literature. Even if there were additional stories, Egypt was able to keep their own mythology and their customs as regard death and dying.
