Referring to the country's long history, Taiwanese culture is a mixture of European and Asian cultures. However, due to the number of Han Chinese migrants who transferred to the country, the Taiwanese way is predominantly Chinese. The main religion is Buddhism, Taoism, and Ancestral worship. The two major languages are Mandarin and Taiwanese, and most traditions are also similar to Chinese traditions. The most important festivals celebrated in the country are the Chinese New Year, The Dragon Boat Festival, and the Lantern Festival, which are celebrated by all Chinese societies in the world.
