Myanmar Good to know |
Visa is required in entering legendary country of Myanmar. A tourist visa only allows a person to stay for 28 days. In case of a need for extension, another 14 days may be added to this stay limit upon approval. Thus, any traveler wishing to vacation in Myanmar needs to secure a visa before everything else.
Aside from a passport with spare visa pages and a validity of not less than 6 months, an applicant of a Myanmar tourist visa has to submit two fully-filled out visa application forms, two passport size photos, and a copy of the person's residence permit to the Myanmar Embassy or Consulate. For those who are coming through local travel agencies, a company invitation letter is also required. Upon submission of the said documents the visa candidate only has to wait three to four working days before the visa will be issued. The visa holder can then enter and tour Myanmar without any worries.
