Myanmar is a quiet country in which technology is not as advanced as most Western countries. In traveling to this country, this fact should be noted as doing otherwise may cause a bad vacation. Furthermore on money matters, Myanmar notes are called Kyat. Although upon arrival at the airport an official exchanger is available for changing the dollars to the country's legal tender, travelers are advised not to avail of this service and instead have their dollars exchanged in the ‘black market' or under desks in hotels, restaurants and shops around the city. This will ensure that the kyat being handed is really worth the dollars being exchanged.
