Burma and Land of the Human Origin are only two of the many names tagged to the beautiful country of Myanmar. It is a country whose original people are the old Mon or Pyu tribe. They were also called the Burmese people who migrated from the China-Tibet border in the 9th century. From these people together with some Mongolians, and other Indo-Aryan migrants sprang the Myanmar race that people know of today.
In reviewing the long history of this country, people may find that it speaks of the people's struggles against invaders like Kublai Khan, the independence gained from the Second World War, and their continued jostle against the tight reigns that the military placed around their necks. It is an extensive story of patient and very brave people working together to achieve a long overdue liberty.
