On clothing

People in Myanmar aren't used to skimpy clothes, so it's best that you abide by this custom.  Sleeveless tops and mini-skirts are no-no's for women.  A cotton T-shirt and a pair of conservative shorts is advisable for both genders.  It is also advisable to keep a spare pair of heavy-duty shoes with you, especially if you want to go hiking.
