Morocco is a generally safe country. Like most Arab nations, girls are expected to dress decently or else harassment may be faced. This is also applicable to tourists. Being a foreigner does not give an exemption for harassment. Thus foreign female visitors are advised to dress as modest as possible. This is a form of respect to the country's culture as well as a way to be safe.
Another thing to be warned about Morocco is the wonderful desert beaches. These are aplenty in the country and seeing them can drive any traveler to diving straight into the waters. However, the currents of these waters are plenty dangerous. Thus, no matter how near to the shore or how shallow the water, swimming is not advisable.
A third advice to travelers, especially those who have Ketama Mountains in their itinerary, is about the people who live in these areas. Ketama Mountains is notorious as the plantation spot for marijuana. Many people from here walk around high. They are not very nice most of the time and they can maltreat travelers. Thus, when traveling to this area, it is best to bring along a local who can negotiate with the drugged people.
