To safeguard fellow travelers and their citizens, Egyptian Health agency encourages visitors to take necessary immunization (for yellow fever and cholera) especially if you have been in an infected area within six days prior to arrival. All of these must be recorded in the International Certificate of Vaccination. There is also a World Health Organization card which can be obtained from authorized doctors from your country of origin.
If you haven’t been vaccinated, health officials may need to have you quarantined at the Cairo Airport--a hassle, especially if you have limited time to explore the country.
