Chile's climate varies from one location to another. The north is an arid desert while the east and southeast are cold with their glaciers and alpines. Easter Island is sub-tropical, the south is Oceanic or coastal tropical, while the center is Mediterranean or dry tropical. Nonetheless, most of the country shares the same seasons: summer (December to February), autumn (March to May), winter (June to August) and spring (September to November).
