Before going to Chile, there are things a traveler must know so that the trip may stay a memorable one.
Street crimes
Street crimes are rampant within the country. Theft and robbery often happen especially to tourist. To avoid being a victim, it is best to blend in the crowd and be less conspicuous. Tourists are favorites of petty crime culprits, so as much as possible travelers must not look as they are.
Dog dung
Animal dung is a common problem in countries who love a certain kind of animal. In Chile, dogs are truly the people's best friends. All over the city proofs that there are dogs that can freely walk around the neighborhood are a lot. Tourists must look at where they are walking to prevent stepping on dung.
Insects
There are lots of insects in Chile not only because the place gives off a tropical feel but also because some areas of the country are not sanitary. Visitors must be cautious of flies that are everywhere. They may not be like mosquitoes that bite, but no one knows where they have been. People can get sick from whatever they carry on their bodies if they land on food or drinks.
Another insect is the mosquito. The mosquitoes in this country are not as deadly as those in the Caribbean, which carry Dengue or Malaria. However, they can really cause itching and rashes when they bite. Thus, insect repellant lotions are a good weapon to be equipped with when walking around the cities of Chile.
