Asia History |
There is not one way to describe the culture of Asia. The countries included in this continent are so diverse that to summarize their cultures is not giving justice to all their identities. However, it may be said that the ways of the Asians are definitely unlike the ways of the West.
Despite the many events of colonialism of Asian countries, the traditional ways have largely been preserved. The languages of each country are still being used. Though some aspects of the western culture were assimilated, many still adhere to their legends and myths. Hinduism, Taoism and Buddhism, are original Asian religions that remain to be the major religions of the world. The Eastern philosophy is still a philosophy widely studied not only by Asian countries, but also of other Western countries.
The continent is just a land gifted with a geography that seem to have deliberately separated the countries, but the innate connection of the races and ethnicities therein resulted to a world region united in making their continent stand out from the rest.
