Contrary to how it has been perceived, it is actually safe to go to Algeria. The country does not have the danger stories compared to other countries in the region. However, it also does not run short of things to look out for.

Relative to the geography of the country, the ecosystem is filled with desert animals including poisonous scorpions. The stings of these tiny creatures can be fatal. It is best for tourists to stay in route and when desiring to travel the off beaten path, better drag along a guide or a local.
