When planning a tour to Africa travelers are advised to take caution on certain things. The most important is about the rampant case of malaria. Although there is no outbreak, the country is just full of anopheles mosquitoes, which carries the virus. Travelers are asked to carry along with them mosquito repellant lotions or armbands to keep the insects away. Also relative to health, tourists are also asked not swim or drink from the Nile River, even if it is very tempting, the Nile is full of bacteria. Some of them are even deadly.
Aside from health cautions, foreign guests are also asked to be wary with their things. Robbery, theft and other petty crimes are also rampant in this continent. It is best to dress modestly and never bring jewelry around.
Besides these things, Africa is a safe country. Cases like animal attacks are mostly isolated, and are generally exaggerated.
