As it is with its neighbor China, Vietnam's weather and climate vary from one region to another. The northern areas are usually colder and sometimes frosty all year round while the low lands are hot and exhausting. From the months of October to April, a large part of the North and the South of the country experiences the occurrence of tropical monsoons. The central area will not experience rain until the entry of May up to the end of September. After the wet season in the different areas, the country is in for a dry season the rest of the year. Temperatures may vary from relatively hot to really hot especially in the Southern regions.
