Uzbekistan may be the unique country in the whole of Central Asia. Its people are not nomads and their culture spans to centuries long forgotten. Due to this, many are tempted to pay the country a visit. However, before getting all frenzy about a trip, better check with the nearest Uzbek embassy firsthand. This is to know that citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine are required to have visa to enter the republic. Beyond these countries, visa is not necessary unless there are plans for a lengthy stay.
When applying for an Uzbek tourist visa, a traveler needs to obtain an Uzbekistan visa support. This is also known as a letter of invitation from a local travel agency. After receiving an invitation, applicants may proceed to the visa application process. All that will be needed is a valid passport, fully-filled out visa application form, a passport-size photo, proof of hotel reservation, evidence of purpose of the visit, and the visa fee.
