Though majority is Uzbeks, there are many other tribes inhabiting Uzbekistan. The cultures of these tribes combined made Uzbek culture one of the most colorful and original in Asia. Their clothes are unique, as well as their arts. They love singing and merrymaking. They call the traditional song, koshuk. This is performed with lively dances and music accompaniment. The country's handicrafts are rare items for collectors. It is characterized by patterns that only Uzbek craftsmen can do.
Going down to religion, Uzbekistan is largely Islamic. The men are as conservative as the women. The family is of primary importance. Celebration of national festivals is a family affair.
