When visiting Turkey, holders of US, British, Greek, French, German, New Zealand, Japanese, Singaporean, and other countries passports are exempted from visa requirement. They may enter the country and stay for 90 days even without visa. However, any traveler not holding a passport of any of the listed countries will have to apply for visa prior to the visit.
The requirements visa applicants need to submit are a passport, completed visa application form, one passport-size photo, document supporting the purpose of travel, proof of sufficient funds, a visa fee, and a residence permit. Upon submission of these articles, the Turkish Consulate or embassy will immediately process the papers. It will be issued after a day or two, and then the trip may be pursued.
