Generally, anytime can be a good time to visit Madagascar. As in the common description of the country, it has a subtropical climate which makes both summer and winter bearable. However, given that accompanying a tropical climate are monsoons, which can ruin a vacation, anyone aspiring to see the grandeur of Madagascar is advised not to come in the months of January to March. This is the rainy season. During this time, the country experiences torrents of rain causing floods in some areas and making some roads impassable. It also delays trekking and hiking plans, truly a trip spoiler. The better time would be May to October, when there is an assurance that fundamental vacation activities may be pursued without hassle.
