Beware of the "shoe shine boys"!

Try not to use the pedestrian underpasses, especially if you see the notorious "shoe shine boys" around.  They often go to great lengths to soil your footwear to force you to pay them for a cleaning job.  What's worse, they will use real feces - that's right, fresh and pure - to slather at your feet.  For that, you often really will have no choice but to hire them.
