Indian nightlife is literally a dusk-‘til-dawn affair. People from different walks of life swarm the areas thick with bars, clubs, and discos from six in the evening until six in the morning. Stressed locals, expats, and tourists loosen their ties and dance themselves to exhaustion. The night entertainment establishments are very welcoming that leaving becomes a bad idea.
In Mumbai, restaurants double as bars and discos, serving food in the morning, and food and drinks in the evening. Zenzi is one of these so-called resto bars. There are also joints which are purely for party purpose. The Velvet Lounge in the Renaissance Hotel is one unforgettable place for many tourists. The drinks are served in huge containers. The music is a combination of American pop and some Indian dance music, and the lounge areas are hip bean bags scattered right outside the building.
In the beach areas like Goa, the partying is also non-stop. There are seaside hotels for those ready to spend thick dough, and there are also shacks, like Colva Beach that serve cheap but goes-down-smooth drinks. These shacks may be smaller than the fancy clubs in nearby hotels but they also boast a bash like no other.
