Taxis in Jaipur

Riding a cab is a very comfortable means of transport in Jaipur, but hailing one will prove to be quite difficult, especially if you're not in a major thoroughfare.  What you can do is to call for a taxi.  You can choose to either go with the meter or negotiate a good price. 

After the transaction has been made, get the taxi's number so that you'd know which cab is the one for you.  They may even call you to tell you that they're close.  You can distinguish the cabs from private cars with their yellow and black plate numbers and color scheme.
