Hong Kong Good to know |
Unlike some Asian countries, Hong Kong is only a "Subtropical" country. It has four seasons as in the west, summer, autumn, winter, and fall. Summer typically starts by the entry of May and ends in August. The temperature during this season plays around 30-35 degree Celsius. This is not one of Hong Kong people's favorite seasons as it is very hot and the occurrence of thunderstorms and heavy rain is very inconsistent during this time of the year. Autumn, on the other hand is considered the best among the four. In the months of September to October the temperature is an average of 28 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity starts to drop. The wind begins to blow cooler and average rain fall decreases. By the month of November, spring begins. The temperature drops, occasional rain showers occur, and if nature permits frost sometimes appear. The month of March marks the start of springtime. The temperature begins to rise and Hong Kong begins to warm again until the end of April.
