Hong Kong Good to know |
There are two main places to go when it comes to nightlife in Hong Kong. Wan Chai in the western part of the island and Lan Kwai Fong, a small square of street in the middle of the country. Both these districts are notorious for attracting Male travelers, expats, and citizens into girlie bars in the early 1940's. Today, even with the decrease in lewdness, the areas remain tempting especially in the eyes of foreigners. Modern bars like Joe Banana's, a pub where superstars like Bon Jovi, Jackie Chan and many other stars enjoyed and partied all night. Stormies, a bar that serves freshly caught seafood, is also an excellent joint for an unforgettable night out. Casinos like the Sha Tin Racecourse, which is the largest casino in the island and karaoke bar like Green Box in Tuen Mun are also on top of the list. When looking for a quiet night, the Tsim Sha Tsui Park, glittering with neon lights is a good finale to a day of shopping and strolling.
