Look for the pink and blue signs that will guide you to the attractions.
Start from Sheung Wan, MRT Exit B than turn right and walk to the Western Market & Sheung Wan Fong, it's an Edwardian style building, built in 1906 serving as a closed market today.
Walk along Morrison street, turn right to Wing Lok street, which is lined with specialty shops selling ginseng and bird's nest.
At the end of Wing Lok, turn left into Des Voeux Road West, to discover a surprising varieties of exotic dried seafood.
Walk along Des Voeux Road West, turn left into Ko Shing Street, famous for it Chinese medicine shops.
Walk back to Des Vieux, turn right into Bonham Strand West, known as the ginseng and Bird's nest street.
Continue along Bonham Strand West, turn right into Possession Street, walk up the sloping street and turn left into Hollywood road (Antique Street)- Famous form its many curious and antique shops.. Turn left at Lok Ku Road, then right onto Upper Lascar Row (Cat street) - Lined with traditional street stalls selling anything from China made replicas to real antiques.
Walk back uphill to Hollywood road, turn left and walk to Man Mo Temple - featuring the Taoist gods of literature (Man) and war (Mo). Open daily from 8am to 6pm.
Continue walking east along Hollywood road to the Central - Mid-levels Escalator (the world longest 800m covered escalator), take the escalator up to Staunton street and the SoHo area. - Good place to take a break and have a bite, SoHo is full of great food, coffee shops and funky bars.
Walk down the steps to Hollywood road, then turn right and walk to the former Central Police Station Compound, former Central Magistracy and Victoria Compound. - Note none of these buildings are open to public.
Continue on Hollywood road into Wyndham street and follow the signs into Lan Kwai Fong - a buzzing center of clubs, bars and restaurants.
Walk up D'Aguilar Street, cross Wyndham Street and turn left into Lower Albert Road past the Finge Club, and follow the directional signs to Duddle Street. These fine wide stone steps connect Ice House St with Duddle Street and Queen's Road Central beyond. Built in 1875-1889 these are the only 4 gas lamps left in entire Hong Kong.
At the end of Duddle St. , turn right, cross Ice House St. and walk up Battery Path to reach the former French Mission Building (known today as The Court of Final Appeal), built in 1917, constructed in granite and red bricks in neo-classical style. The building is not open to public.
Just beyond the Court is the St. John's Cathedral- the oldest surviving Western ecclesiastical building in Hong Kong. Open 7am -6pm daily.
