Guyana has a tropical climate which is greatly influenced by the so-called Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone. It has two seasons (dry and wet) that both occur twice. The first wet season occurs from May to July and the second happens from November to January. Rain occurs more often during these seasons. On the other hand, the first dry season of the year starts from February and ends in April. The second occurrence happens from August to October. Among these two occurrences the first dry season usually has higher temperatures.
