Who can enter Guyana without visa?
Guyana used to require all nations to have visa before entering the country. However, in 1993, the rules were abolished and a few countries were deemed permitted to enter the country even without visa. These countries include the US, Canada, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Finland, Switzerland, Sweden and Austria. The nationals of Japan, The DPRK, the Republic of Korea, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago are also allowed to get to the country even without visa. Besides these, visa needs to be applied for.
Application for visa
For those who desire to acquire visa for Guyana, applications may be done to the nearest Guyana embassy or consulate. A number of documents must be submitted for the application to be processed.
Required Documents
The documents that must be presented in order for the application to be process include a completed visa application form, valid passport, three recent passport0type photos, and proof of sufficient funds. A visa fee must also be paid to the consulate.
Issuance
The consulate or embassy of Guyana does not guarantee that all applications will be granted. Thus, there is no specific number of days for the processing of the document.
