Due to the numerous colonists who came to the country Guyanese culture has become a combination of African, Indian, French, Amerindian, and other cultures that immigrants brought with them. Aspects of life of the Guyanese people are mostly rooting to the core values of the said nations.
Architecture
The country's architecture was greatly influenced by the British rulers of the country. Thus, buildings in the cities of Guyana reflect that of British establishments. The designs were imported and adopted but the materials utilized were all local.
Music
The country's music was largely influenced by Indian and African natives. It also has a hint of European elements. Some of the popular tunes may be categorized under reggae, calypso, and chutney. The tunes with European influences are largely classified under Latin style.
Religion
The country has so many religions because of the number of natives and groups of immigrants in the country. However, the main religion remains to be Christianity, Hinduism, and Islam, the three biggest sects all over the world.
