Christened by different names-from the Pharonic Dumafkat (Land of Fayrouz) to the Arabic Mafkat (Country of Turquoise), Sinai's is a peninsula which draws hordes of people (nomads, traders, miners, the list is endless) since the heyday of the Bronze Age. Sinai is notable for having impressive historical vitae. This is the same site where Moses supposedly received the Ten Commandments and where Israelites set foot, specifically at Mt. Sinai, after successfully crossing the Red Sea. For a thousand of years, this dramatic event has been the relentless argument among historians, scholars and theologian, wrapping Sinai with a mystique that makes it more desirable and popular to the outside observer.
