The climate of East Timor is considered as a tropical monsoon climate. It has two seasons, the dry and wet. Dry season usually starts from May and ends in November, while the wet season begins by the entry of December and ends in April. During the dry season the small country experiences small occurrences of rain, but typhoons come by often. Daily temperature ranges from 20-33 degrees Celsius and the humidity can at times be oppressive. In the wet season, the temperature ranges from 29-35 decries Celsius. In the daytime, it can be very hot and at night very cold. Many natural calamities like earthquakes, tsunamis and tropical cyclones occur in this season.
