Many tourists are now having East Timor as one of their travel destinations because of its recently declared independence. To boost this opportunity, the country makes entry visas easy to obtain. A traveler who wishes to stay in East Timor for a while may apply for a visa stamp upon arrival as the airport. The general requirements in applying for a visa stamp include an original passport with at least six months of validity and one spare visa page, two recent 2 x 2 photos, a round trip ticket, and a copy of a confirmed hotel reservation. Upon presentation of these requirements, the traveler will be granted a 30-day hassle-free stay in the country.
