Although the peak season is July and August, these are not the best months to be in the country. Hotels and inns are full, restaurants, souvenir shops, and even nightlife establishments are irritatingly crowded. More importantly, the prices of goods are also at their peak.
The better time to visit is January to May. The country is still warm during these months, but tour-related establishments are not as crowded as in the months of July to August. Plus, threats of hurricane in these months are low. The island may be enjoyed better at this time. It is more quiet and there are more chances to commune with nature.
