Cuba is quite strict as regards the country's tourism. Most countries, if not all are not allowed to enter without visa or tourist card. Thus, anyone wishing to tour the island must apply for a visa prior to the trip.
What are the necessary documents?
When applying for a visa to Cuba, applicants must present a passport with at least six months validity, one fully-filled out visa application form, a copy of a return or onward ticket, or a proof of a package tour, and a visa fee in cash or check form.
Where to apply
Visas may be applied for in any Cuban embassies or Consulates nearest the residence of the applicant.
Processing duration
Processing of visa typically takes seven to 10 days before it is issued.
Document validity
Upon issuance the visa will be valid for six months. It will allow the user to stay for up to 30 days in the country. Beyond this, extensions would be needed.
