Botswana Visa and Passport

Only nationals of the Unites States, Britain, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Ireland, and Canada may enter Botswana without visa. Aside from these citizens, visa is required prior to the planned visit. The document may be applied for in a Botswana Consulate or Embassy nearest to the residence of the applicant. The requirements to be submitted includes a completed application for, duly signed, a letter of invitation from a local agency that will sponsor the trip, two identical passport-type photos, a residence permit, an onward and return ticket, and a visa fee worth four USD. Upon submission of these documents, it will be processed for at least five days. Upon issuance it may be expected to be valid for ninety days from the date of issue.
