Anguilla, an island situated between the Caribbean Sea and North Atlantic Ocean towards the east of Puerto Rico and north of Saint Martin, has beaches, resorts and restaurants as the real attractions. It is said, Summer is a great time in Anguilla. The weather is nicer than most of the US. The island was a British colony till 1980, the year it achieved independence.
Anguilla has a fair share of pure and pulverized beaches, which are the much sought after Caribbean assets. The island's serene and multi-colored waters entice any likely visitor. Rendezvous Bay, Shoal Bay, Road Bay, Maundays Bay, Cove Bay, Meads Bay and Crocus Bay are popular beaches along 19 km long white coral coastline of the island.
Beauty of Anguilla makes it a holiday harbor for the rich and renowned. The island's intense and pictorial blue ocean welcomes many celebrities to its lap. However, the island has something for everyone. Sight of Caribbean sunset while having an Anguilian tipple in any of the beach bars is the best holiday repose for a very few bucks.
Relaxation is not the only delight of this place. Dozens of activity choices like boating, snorkeling, fishing and scuba diving are offered which boost the joue-de-vivre. Multi cuisine restaurants on the island with a dash of sea food and out-of-the-door dining are heavenly berths for gourmets. Shoe lace dance in the beach bars make the nightlife young and attractive over here. Elvis Beach Bar, Ripples, Johnno's Beach Bar and Grill (Sandy Ground), Dune Preserve (West End), Ko Ko's Beach Bar (Island Harbour) and Scilly Cay are just some of the places where one can enjoy pulsating nightlife.
Anguilla has many things in store for the traditional minded also. Fifteen art galleries to relish Angullian talents inject a rich sense of culture in a tourist. But this is only one part of the story. In other respects Anguilians are open to innovation and influence. You can eat anything from roast goat and snapper to tabbouleh and risotto. With more than sixty restaurants on the island, both local and international chefs constantly look for new ways of cooking and combing flavors. Goats and fresh fish are the most preferred local food. And tourists go crazy about them.
