Due to the blessing of nature, the dishes of Anguilla are mostly made of seafood. It is abundant in the country and is shared by the citizens to guests who would like some. Aside from this, because of the invasion of the British in the past, the Anguillan palate was greatly influenced. Most of the cooking is similar to that of the British cuisine, only with an added tropical twist.
Some of the dishes that must be tasted by travelers are spiny lobster bisque, which is often served in special occasions, Johnny cakes, some kind of Anguillan bread slash cake, tamarind balls are also phenomenal in this side of the Caribbean, as well as pigeon peas. For drinks to push these foods down, travelers may have a taste of mawby, the national softdrink made from tree barks.
