Some of the things travelers should be warned about in visiting Angola are almost the same with other war-torn tropical and sub-tropical countries. The major things are related to the remains of war. Battle sites are not very good places to go "yet" as being slightly fresh, there may still be landmines and bombs that may be activated upon entry. Travelers must at all cost stay with guides to avoid any kind of danger.
Another is concerned with the diseases that tropical and subtropical countries often carry. Yellow fever and malaria are only two diseases, tourists should be prepared for. They are advised to bring insect repellants of any form to avoid mosquito bites that often transfer the viruses. Aside from insect repellants, anti-diarrhea medications are also advisable for stomach emergencies.
