The sudden changes in weather also cause illnesses to some visitors. Thus, travelers should watch out for the weather.
White out
White outs are occurrences when the wind shifts and blows across one of the glaciers. It is a common phenomenon in the islands as glaciers are copious. Though it sounds simple it can actually be dangerous as it causes zero visibility for certain length of time. The solution to this is to get down or stay out of the way. It is also suggested to not do any movement especially during zero visibility.
