Who can enter Paraguay without visa?
Most people require visa to enter Paraguay. However, the nationals of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK are exempted from the rule. These nationals may enter the country and stay for up to 90 days without visa. For those who are not nationals of the given countries, visa is strictly required prior to the visit.
Visa application
The nationals of countries not mentioned in the above statement are required to apply for visa. The application process may be done in the Paraguayan embassy or consulate nearest the residence of the applicant.
Documents required
For tourist visas the documents required include a passport with a minimum validity of six months, two visa application forms, fully filled out and signed, two recent passport-type photos, onward or return ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and the visa fee.
Processing and Issuance
After submitting the documents, the consulate will process the document for up to four working days. It will be issued right after and may already be used by the applicant. It will carry a validity of up to 90 days from the date of entry.
