People
The people of Paraguay are combinations of the intermarriage between native Spanish people and some members of the indigenous Guarani tribe. More than 90 percent of the country's population is mestizo or individuals carrying the genes of two varying races. Like hybrid animals, some carry more of the Guarani traits and attributes while others are living like Spanish natives.
Language
Although most people speak Spanish in Paraguay, the native language of the country, Guarani remains to be a widely spoken language. A percentage of the population also speaks Jopara or the language that resulted from mixing Spanish and Guarani language.
Art forms
Paraguayans are very expressive people in that their arts speak of their culture as much as their lips might. The most common art form for ladies is embroidery and lace-making. On the other hand, the men, who have Spanish blood in their veins, are good musicians. The typical instruments include native harps and guitars. The songs are mostly polkas, and galopas.
