The Middle East is considered as the cradle of civilization. From amongst the regions of the world, it is the one where the oldest races, the Persians, the Babylonians, and the Assyrians have originated. From this land, the very first form of writing has been devised. It is also the land from which hailed the greatest leaders, Cyrus the Great, Hammurabi, and Nebuchadnezzar. Above all, many aspects of culture even of those in the West were influenced by the ways of this region.
The history of the Middle East is a compilation of the histories of the different countries it is compose of. It is like a summary of the explorations, and discoveries of each nation. It is also about the struggles of the citizens to keep their land and culture intact. This same history spoke of the wars that took place in the different regions. The war for religious autonomy, the area's oil reserves as well as the people's dignity and perceived innocence.
Until today, the words being written in this history speak of the region's treasures and the bravery of its citizens in fighting for it.
