Malaysia has a hot and dry weather most of the year. For a traveler who loves the seas and the sunshine, anytime can be a good time to see the colorful country. The climate is naturally good for swimming and beach volleyballs. For those who live in moderation, the perfect time is between the months of May and September. During this time, the country is neither too hot nor too cold. It is a good opportunity to bask in the sun, tour the sights, and go shopping without getting scorched.
In Term of Weather
Well, in Malaysia, not all months in a year are holiday-friendly. If you are going to visit the Borneo part of Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak), it is advisable not to visit months November till January as it was a rainy-season (sometimes very heavy rain). These months also (November till January) applied as well to East Coast of Malaysia (Terengganu, Pahang, kelantan as some part of Johor). While the West Coast of Malaysia, the monsoon season sometimes on months October to November and sometimes April to may.
Peak Season
Peak season here mean major public holiday in Malaysia - which usually when Hari Raya Aidilfitri (a day which Muslims celebrate after a fasting month), Christmas, Chinese New Year, Deepavali and related. This because when these days come, most of people (in town) will come back to their hometown (village) as thus, usually cause traffic jam. But then for those travelers which eager to learn Malaysian culture, you are invited (well, when these days come, there are so many open house held - free local foods!).
